Where It All Began
The inaugural TSFA brought together 24 passionate filmmakers in Hyderabad for a night that would spark a movement.
The Story of the First Edition
In 2018, a small but passionate group of independent filmmakers gathered in Hyderabad with a shared belief: that great stories deserve recognition, regardless of budget or backing. That belief became TSFA.
The inaugural edition received 24 entries across 6 categories — modest in number, but extraordinary in spirit. Every entry represented a filmmaker who had poured their heart into a story that deserved to be seen.
What began as a local celebration quickly revealed itself to be something much larger. The energy in the room that night — the applause, the tears, the pride — made it clear that TSFA had found its purpose.
"We didn't know if anyone would come. They came — and they brought their best work."
