Growing the Movement
The second TSFA proved the first was no fluke. More filmmakers, more stories, and a community that was only just beginning to find its voice.
The Story of the Second Edition
If 2018 was the spark, 2019 was the flame. Word had spread through Hyderabad's independent filmmaking community — TSFA was real, it was credible, and it was worth entering.
The second edition saw a significant jump in entries, with filmmakers arriving not just from Hyderabad but from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The categories expanded to reflect the growing diversity of stories being told.
By the end of the night, it was clear that TSFA had become something more than an awards show. It was a gathering — a place where independent creators could find their tribe, share their craft, and be seen.
"The second year is when you know if something is real. The room was full. The work was extraordinary."
