Stories That Refused to Stop
When the world went quiet, independent filmmakers kept creating. The 3rd TSFA celebrated the resilience of storytelling in the most challenging year in living memory.
The Story of the Third Edition
2020 tested every institution, every community, and every creative. When the pandemic shut down film sets, theatres, and events across India, many wondered if TSFA would happen at all.
It did. Adapted to the times, the 3rd edition embraced the new reality — filmmakers who had been shooting on phones, editing in bedrooms, and distributing online found that TSFA was ready to recognise their work wherever it was made.
The entries that year carried a particular weight. Stories of isolation, resilience, community, and hope — told by creators who refused to let a pandemic silence them. The 3rd TSFA became a testament to the unstoppable nature of human storytelling.
"The pandemic couldn't stop the stories. If anything, it made them more urgent, more honest, more necessary."
